Addicted Innocence [Shorts Session 5]
Akram and Sai are two boys that live in a rehab centre in New Delhi, India. 18-year-old Akram is from Mumbai, and has lived there for four years. He has no idea where his family is. Sai is only 9, and is finishing his detox. The film revolves around kids who are battling their addiction to drugs, and the difficulties involved.
Director
Sonali was born and raised in Bombay, India. She has been a professional photographer for 5 years and has obtained a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Hong Kong. She is passionate in sharing stories from some of the poorer and neglected regions of India, as well as showing the more intimate side of locals from other countries. Her first film Addicted Innocence has been officially selected in the Doc beyond borders film festival and the international drug abuse and human trafficking festival in Indonesia.
