Fatima Jinnah: Sister | Revolutionist | Stateswoman
Synopsis:
We are so used to seeing history in black and white, that we assume the characters played within them are also black and white. The truth is far from it.
Fatima Jinnah is a visual exploration of a character that shadowed the popularity of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Fatima, his sister, has been an integral part in driving the two-nation theory and generating women’s support during the revolution.
This piece is set to explore Fatima, without the projection of purity, as a character of history.
The Prologue is divided into three parts, 1929 (the younger Fatima, a sister), 1947 (a revolutionist), and 1965 (a stateswoman).
